What are Check-In Offers?

Please note: The Yelp Deals, Gift Certificates and Check-in Offers program is ending soon. The last day to purchase a Yelp Deal is October 27, 2024, and the last day to save a Check-In Offer is November 14, 2024.

Business Owners will no longer be able to create a new Deal, Gift Certificate, or Check-in Offer after October 9, 2024. If you’d like a record of your transaction history or unredeemed Deals or Gift Certificates, please save this information from your Yelp account by December 9, 2024, before it’s no longer viewable.

Business owners with current or past Deals/Gift Certificates: As outlined in the Merchant Terms for Deals and Certificates, existing Deals and Certificates will continue to remain valid according to their terms and you are required to continue honoring the paid value of all issued Yelp Deals and Certificates indefinitely.

Businesses can create and post a Check-In Offer as a way for you to receive rewards for your loyalty to them. When you check in at a business that has posted one, you'll receive an offer on your phone that you can redeem on that visit, or save for another time.

Also, it should go without saying, but offering compensation or incentives in exchange for reviews is a violation of our policies and we have programs in place to protect consumers from such activities.

To see a Check-In Offer you've saved on your iPhone

  1. Log in to your user account, if you're not already logged in
  2. Tap More
  3. Tap Deals & Offers
  4. Tap My Deals

To see a Check-In Offer you've saved on your Android device

  1. Log in to your user account, if you're not already logged in
  2. Tap the Me button 
  3. Tap My Deals & Offers
Businesses are expected to honor their Check-In Offers, but sometimes they can’t if their menu or services have changed since the offer was originally made. While we can’t necessarily force a business to honor their terms, we certainly hope they’d try. If you're unable to redeem a Check-In Offer, we'd like to hear about it: please contact our Support team.
